One of the growing trends in today’s market is the Broadband telephony. Most of the Internet providers offer nowadays Broadband telephony, and push this service as this is one of their biggest growing tools. In addition, the whole issue of VoIP and cheap calls over the Internet has become a public awareness thanks to the phenomenon success of Skype. However, there are a few challenges that need to be addressed in order to meet customer’s expectations: Portability – the customer wants to use the cheap communication overall and anytime and not to be tide-up to their home/office PC Security – as a lot of the communication plans involve payment credits or even open accounts, the user would like to protect the access to this credit in case he/she looses his/her portable communication device. Freedom – as the customer would like to use the cheap communication anywhere and anytime, he has to be free from any worries to the sound configuration of the PC he will be connected to. The sound processing has to be transparent from the user’s point of view, in the same way he/she use a legacy phone. n-Trance Security has addressed these needs while introducing the world’s first biometric VoIP device that combines a built-in sound processing mechanism and a fingerprint scanner for user’s authentication. There are two main solutions where this product can be used: VoIP – the n-Tegrity VoIP functions as a portable IP Phone. It is the portable solution for any VoIP application – for Broadband telephony while extending the Broadband telephony services beyond the user’s premises. This facts allows the providers of this service to maximize the revenue per existing customer, and for the users themselves, the freedom to use this desired service overall on every Internet-connected PC. – For companies that use IP PBX telephony – many companies have switched already to IP telephony. In their office, the employees use an IP phone, but they do not have a transparent solution where they can make this service portable. With the n-Tegrity VoIP that can simply continue to use the whole range of services offered to them through the IP PBX of the company, but this time – anywhere in the world. – When needed (and with extra cost), the n-tegrity VoIP can be delivered with a special softphone that can assure an end-to-end encryption of the VoIP conversation. The special software encrypts the talking session with a military strength 256-bit AES encryption, and assures a complete privacy for the parties engaged in that conversation. Mobile Telephony - A lot of mobile telephony providers would like to be involved in the world of the fixed Internet providers. To do so, they come with a service that offers an IP convergence of their mobile telephony services. With an integration on the mobile telephony server side (IP convergence of the SMS and MMS servers etc,), the mobile provider can offer a replication of their services through any Internet connected PC. - The user can SMS, MMS, call or initiate a video call to any 3G subscriber through the Internet, and by doing so, bypassing the local mobile provider, and save any roaming cost (if applicable). - The n-Tegrity VoIP is being used in that application in order to give a portable secured solution for this service. A special softphone is being launched automatically after a fingerprint authentication of the user, register on the mobile provider’s network, and from that point on, the user can use all his mobile services through the Internet. - The n-Tegrity VoIP allows the mobile providers to offer their new service without the need to be tide to a certain user’s PC and with full portability. Needless to say that that built-in sound processing of the n-Tegrity VoIP allows the user a total freedom while connecting to any Internet connected PC.
